And technically, neither is Gifted.

In a report on Entertainment Weekly, multiple sources have apparently confirmed that The Originals star, Joseph Morgan, is not a part of the show, but rather was standing in for the read-through only, where he saw him present with the rest of the shows cast in an image tweeted out by producer Lauren Shuler Donner.

Also, they have confirmed that Gifted is not the official name of the series, but merely a working title. It is worth noting that in EW’s own article they say it isn’t the official title ‘as of yet’, which means this could change. So one imagines if the hashtag gains momentum, Fox will change their position on that.
