Bitch Planet Gets A Triple Anthology And Compliancy Manual – With More On Pretty Deadly And Parisian White

Kelly Sue DeConnick and Valentine DeLandro have been talking about Bitch Planet plans, at Emerald City Comicon at their Milkfed panel with friends, and an audience bribed by their trash.

Then Laurenn McCubbin is working with them on creating a Compliancy Manual for the series, showing how women are expected to conform in the Bitch Planet world, and created in the style of a textbook, adding in notes that students have taken, and their feelings on how they are being told to comply, commenting on each other's comments.

And Bitch Planet Triple Feature is a five-issue anthology series from other creators to make up for a delay on the next Bitch Planet arc. Each issue will have three short stories by different creators though DeConnick and DeLandro have developed the stories with them and DeConnick will write an essay for each issue.

The first issue has Cheryl Lyn Eaton and Maria Frohlich, Andrew Aydin and Joanna Estep, with Kit Cox and Vanessa Del Rey doing a story for issue 3.

While on Kelly's other projects, they are in production on the third act of Pretty Deadly with Emma Rios, with two more acts to go.

You can look forward to the next arc set during silent movies and in the fashion of film noir as Clara makes a shadow puppet film about people visited by three grim reapers over three nights.

While Parisian White with Bill Sienkiewicz, it's a comic about murder, objectification and obsession, and how every colour is actually the absence of that colour, because it's the only light that gets reflected back. So blood red, is anything but.

But they both promise to have a number of issues finished before it's made available to order… honest!
