Kevin Conroy Confirms His Presence In Injustice 2

Kevin Conroy has voiced Batman for over two decades now, first as the voice behind the WB’s celebrated Batman: The Animated Series, then later through the Arkham games and Injustice: Gods Among Us and it looks like he’ll be returning for Injustice 2 to voice the Dark Knight. To be fair, he does not outright say he’ll be voicing Bruce Wayne, but, we all know he’s voicing Bruce Wayne.

The move is hardly a surprise, because who else would they get to be Batman other than the guy who has voiced Batman for two decades? Ben Affleck? Considering he doesn’t want to be Batman in films, I doubt he’d be willing to step in as the video game version of the caped crusader.

As our head writer Rich Johnston points out, the announcement isn’t very Batman.

“Commissioner Gordon has permitted me to fight the Joker. But not too much.”

That said, I think most players will take this news well, since quite a few were panicked about the idea that Conroy wouldn’t be returning to the game as evidenced by the lengthy forum threads spouting names for who could take his place.

Given the lack of success for Arkham Origins – the only Arkham game not to feature Conroy as Batman – it seems no one was too keen on letting anyone else voice the character. Or they’ve brought Conroy in to voice someone else – Hawkman maybe? Seems unlikely.

In other Injustice 2 news, we’ve got a relatively full confirmed roster including Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Black Canary, Cheetah, Swamp Thing, and now the original voice of Batman.
