Mass Effect: Andromeda Will Feature Kumail Nanjiani As A "Space Frog"

Bioware released a video today featuring actor Kumail Nanjiani, known for his role on HBO's Silicone Valley, about his role as a voice actor in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

The only clue we have as to Nanjiani's ME persona is that he is a "Space Frog" which many are taking as a hint that he is going to play a Salarian. While that could explain the Salarian in the recently dropped images from Andromeda on Amazon yesterday, I think we're all forgetting a few things.

Maybe this is him?

Andromeda is taking place in a different galaxy than the previous trilogy. So Nanjiani could be of an entirely new race of alien beings that looks more frog-like than even the Salarians. He could also be a Drell. They're rather reptilian, but lizards are sort of like frogs?

Clearly I'm grasping at straws.

Of all the infinite possibilities, my personal pet theory is that he's actually playing a Krogan mercenary named Space Frog. That one's pretty much the most unlikely thing but I would love it. Could you imagine? Ryder, Peebee, Vetra Nyx, and Space Frog. Dream team right there.

Okay so he's probably the Salarian. Whatever. Watch the video and judge for yourselves.

Clearly that man was born to play a Krogan. Absolutely the best casting.

You can check out all the new Amazon screenshots here, check out the interview with Peebee's voice actress Christine Lakin here, or read about how the team is trying to avoid the Hinterlands problem with side quests here.

Edited: to fix my typo of "reptilianm" this is what I get for typing with so much excitement.
