Ridley Scott Hasn't Directed A Superhero Movie Before Because He "Can't Believe In Them"

Ridley Scott has really jumped from genre to genre the years. With each film, it seems like he is really trying to do something new in some way or another, but it does leave the question of genres he hasn't yet touched. For example, the zeitgeist king right now, superhero movies.

Well, I wouldn't expect that to change anytime soon. That is off the back of comments he made to Digital Spy, where he didn't hold back on what he thinks of the genre. He said:

[I've been asked] several times, but I can't believe in the thin, gossamer tight-rope of the non-reality of the situation of the superhero. I've done that kind of movie – Blade Runner really is a comic strip when you think about it, it's a dark story told in an unreal world. You could almost put Batman or Superman in that world, that atmosphere, except I'd have a f**king good story, as opposed to no story!

I- I don't think Ridley Scott likes Superhero movies very much…
