Last night was a big episode for the Flash after the previous one seemed like filler. Plus a big clue was dropped seemingly verifying the identity of the man in the iron mask. So we're going to hit the highlights here.

Starting off with the name drop. Barry Allen heads out to find his father Henry and talk about having lost his powers and what they might need to do to get them back. As he is catching his father up, he mentions Jay Garrick. Henry is surprised a little because Garrick was his mother's maiden name. Now a lot of people have suggested that it's Barry's dad in the iron mask and that he could be Garrick and that seems to be where they are headed. At this point, it has to be someone we know in the mask so Earth-2 Henry Allen / Jay Garrick makes sense.

Then there was the acknowledgement of the obvious. Barry has had basically 3 fathers. Henry, Joe West and Harrison Wells. Each one helping shape who he is. This has been obvious since early in season one. Each one is a mentor to his different sides: cop, scientist and hero. Well they finally put the three in a room together and let them fight about what is best for Barry. And its ended when Barry asserts himself, telling them that its his decision in the end.

At some point the producers will need to let us know just how Zoom's eyes go black and his voice goes from Teddy Sears to Tony Todd.

We also need to see what changes in the world because of Pied Piper being a good guy. Let's not forget about that.

Seriously? Iris is just going to drop knowledge like that? Not the most romantic scene ever.

And the big thing here of course is the ending. The Flashpoint moment when Barry gets stuck by lightning again to give him back his powers. But what happened to him? Perhaps he's gone into the speed force. At least that is what it looks like and it's what I hope. The Flash speeding up enough to fight Zoom by using the Tachyon device felt like a cheat to me. He's not the fastest man alive with help… He needs to come out of the speed force being the fastest again without any help.

Now for the most obvious set up. Throw Jesse Wells and Wally West into a room together where they must stay and start working on a way to give the Flash his speed back. Even non comic fans had to know what was going to happen. The interesting thing will be to see if anyone else is affected.

If this season ends with Barry having a better control over the speed force, able to go much faster and be a better hero then it would be fitting since that is what Hunter Zoloman wanted in the comics, to make the Flash the best hero he could be.
