As The Clocks Go Forward, Comic Book Hour Is Upon Us

Title: #ComicBookHour starts Sunday at 10.00am PST!

This Sunday I'm launching a Twitter Q&A called #ComicBookHour. The event will task tweeters with answering questions about comics, and socialising with fellow comic lovers. It will be open to both creators and readers. The format is based off of #ComicTalk, another Q&A I ran, and will start at 10.00am PST.

#ComicTalk will transform into #ComicBookHour this weekend, and with this evolution comes a new mission. We used to concentrate on gathering creators, and we did that to much acclaim. In fact, #ComicTalk was arguably the most consistently trending social media event of 2015 for the comic industry. With the new event my goal is to bring in readers, and involve them more.

What I want #ComicBookHour to be is a place where creators can unite, get exposure (actual not the kind some pay artists with) and share their creations. At the same time I want readers to be able to join in, and discover new comic book experiences. That's key to getting indie comics "over", and, in my opinion, creating a healthier comic industry.

All you need to join in is have a Twitter account, to show up at 10.00am PST, if you are in a different timezone just Google "time in PST", and to follow @ComicBookHour for the questions. Then just answer them, and hashtag #ComicBookHour. You don't have to include the username. It's up to your preference!

It would be great to see some of the Bleeding Cool readers join in, and thanks for reading. If you have any questions about #ComicBookHour tweet me @JamieMeWrites.

The artwork in this article is the combination of artist Bernard Gita, and colourist Sean Callahan with lettering by yours truly.
