The Strain #1 Starts To Ratchet Up On eBay, From $1 To $13

$T2eC16VHJGoFFvOTC(UHBReKD+ZwFw~~60_57The Strain is moving ahead as a new drama for FX starring Corey Stoll, and produced by Gullermo del Toro and Cartlon Cuse. It's going to pilot but Deadline report that "FX president John Landgraf has indicated it is being eyed for a series order." Based on the vampire trilogy co-written by del Toro, it was also adapted into a comic book series from Dark Horse by David Lapham and Mike Huddleston.

The first issue was only a dollar. As of yesterday there were eight copies for over cover price at Midtown – they've now all gone. And sixty-seven at TFAW. Also now gone. And people taking down their cover price eBay listings and putting them up with new prices, where it has now sold for over $13.

On ebay.co.uk, there have been a sudden twelve sales of this Buy It Now listing for $5 each.

A few days a go, the variant cover couldn't sell for 99 cents when packaged with four other horror comics. Now it sells for $15.

Someone looks to be starting a run.
