Kurt Busiek Joins Alex Ross on Jack Kirby's Genesis

Ain't it pretty?

Last week when I ran the Alex Ross teaser for Genesis, I also ran the Marvels logo that it was riffing off. And speculated as what the link was…

Well, obviously, the link was Marvels' writer Kurt Busiek. And Genesis from Dynamite marks the first time the two have worked as fully collaborative partners on a comics project since then.

Busiek has experience here, he was one of the writers of Topps Comics' Kirbyverse line, writing TeenAgents, Silver Star and Victory.

And Ross, well, Ross has gained fame painting highly rendered and detailed photorealistic versions of many of Kirby's creations.

I can see a lot of people changing their desktop imagery right about now.
