Hachette To Publish Baker Street Irregulars Graphic Novels By Tony Lee And Dan Boultwood

Bleeding Cool has already written about the upcoming series of graphic novels based around the Conan Doyle's Baker Street Irregulars characters from Sherlock Holmes. by Tony Lee and Dan Boultwood.

I understand the publisher is to be Franklin Watts Books, an imprint from Hachette Children's Books for spring next year.

In the wake of Sherlock Holmes supposed waterfall death, the young cohorts rise up and take over his role on the streets of London as a crime wave hits, alongside Inspector Lestrade, Doctor Watson and Irene Alder against someone who may well be Professor Moriarty, the man who killed Holmes…

Tony Lee's profiule has risen of late, principally duye to the adaptation of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies as a graphic novel. And the team have a long history together, working on titles such as Hope Falls and The Gloom, as well as other Hachette Children's Books such as The Phone Goes Dead, Scared, Killer Camera and The Hitch-Hiker.

And with Holmes expert on hand, Leslie S. Klinger, the publishers are taking the controversial step of calling these books "canon"…
