Swipe File: Marvel 3.0 and Longbox

Marvel have launched their new digital comics reader, giving it a 3.0 suffix and, well, let's face it, learnt from some of the more popular comic book reading programmes out there. Above is the new Marvel 3.0 reader… and below is the much tauted Longbox digital comics reader…

I mean, it's not, obviously. Longbox deals with open source files as well as DRM comics, while Marvel's reader exists within its own walled off comics garden. And both owe a lot to other comic book reading digital platforms common for reading certain illegally downloaded files, with a visual nod to Apple operating systems…

But this is clearly a shot across the bows for Marvel. It's saying that it's almost as snazzy as the next guy!
