For the first time since before I saw the first one, I'm genuinely intrigued by a Paranormal Activity movie.
It’s for good reason that I’ve never seen a Paranormal Activity movie in my life.
Reminds me of that infamous Monty Python episode that never was.
It looks like this one opens things up considerably, both in terms of locations, narrative elements and aesthetic. This could be a real shot in the arm for the series.
The Conjuring seems ripe for a spin-off series, but the Paranormal Activity series could be getting past its sell-by date.
This could be fun in a silly, campy fashion - less a film, more a theme park attraction.
How far could this go? One film a month by 2020?
He's getting very good at making low-budget horror films that work.
Will these new conceits be enough to stop the series from going stale?
