WicDiv is a great series, and Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie make for an excellent team However, it's hard to ignore that this is half a comic for $3.99 US.

Matthew Wilson's color art is as wild and eye-catching as ever, with the dazzling color palette always being one of my favorite things about the art of this series.
The Wicked + The Divine #34 isn't one of the high points of the series, but, with Kieron Gillen's solid writing and fantastic dialogue, it's still far[...]

Could 2018 see the final issue of the hit image comic The Wicked + The Divine by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie completed and ready to be printed for the series' 2019 end? According to the most shocking tweet posted on Bleeding Cool so far this year, McKelvie is hoping to finish "most of (maybe all?)[...]

Similarly, in the Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie's Young Avengers run, he stated how Asgardians didn't have concepts like straight and gay, and so such things don't factor into his own sexuality.
In Al Ewing and Lee Garbett's Loki: Agent of Asgard, Loki changed shape and gender a few times.
Sadly, readers have a little while to wait[...]

The Wicked + The Divine #33 from Image Comics by Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie, Matthew Wilson, Clayton Cowles, and Dee Cunniffe is going to be a tough one to review without spoilers, but I'm going to try.
What I will say is that this issue is a game changer And damned if I don't admit[...]
The Wicked and the Divine remains a brilliant tale. You want to know how it all ends, but you don’t want to rush it so you can keep enjoying it.
And with a new collection of Uber from Kieron Gillen and Daniel Gete, and a new War Stories from Garth Ennis and Tomas Aria, they're going to hammer that home a tad.

But it's genuinely a truly stunning final image to end on, and it's shocking, striking, and filled with details that will have you do a double take.
Kieron Gillen is a master with these characters, and in particular, a master of breaking hearts One slight spoiler I'll have is Woden does a Woden, and yet somehow,[...]

Dubbed the petri dish of the future of genre conventions, by Kieron Gillen, the show bends over to be accessible and enjoyable to all audiences, whatever their personal circumstances – and then find opportunities to turn that journey into part of the experience.

The Wicked + The Divine #29 marks the series return and start of what series creators Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie, and Matthew Wilson refer to as Imperial Phase II Gillen has repeated used the metaphor of a double album, with this second part being that second album that vastly accelerates the story.
Cover by Jamie[...]
Pride is a time for the LGBTQ community to stand for their rights, equality, and thoughtful representation, as well as a time to remember the struggles we've gone through to get here — but it's also a time to celebrate the victories, those that brought us here, and the things to be thankful for now.

Kieron Gillen had such an amazing handle on how to write not only Vader himself, but also the Emperor, and his wonderful creations Doctor Aphra, Triple-Zero and Beetee, Cylo, and many more It felt like a natural ending when the series came to an end, and for once, a story left us before wearing out its[...]
