Hello friends! It's time again for another set of two Magic: The Gathering Commander deck techs Sometimes, I find it's best to step away from the battlefield when writing up techs for my readers and take a moment to be mindful of things like burnout, writer's block, and other similar worries But then I think[...]

I attended a Commander-format Magic: The Gathering tournament benefitting the ExtraLife charity on Saturday, November 9th The event, while fun as it could be, raises some concerns about what exactly constitutes a competitive Commander deck and what doesn't quite cut it.
I had gone with using my Chainer, Dementia Master deck in this tournament – the very[...]
I wrote an article around this time a year ago about how Chainer, Dementia Master, is among the best of the best when it comes to reanimator commanders within Magic: The Gathering This was written on a website called "Commander Fight Club", where players could make content about the Commander format (the website has yet to[...]
In continuation of our pair of white Magic: The Gathering deck techs for today (having kicked it off with Oketra the True), I now present the second Commander deck tech We are preparing for the arrival of Theros, Beyond Death through these techs, and as such we are giving special focus to the Gods in Magic.
White is[...]
Today, we at Bleeding Cool have a special set of two Commander Magic: The Gathering deck tech articles for you! This is the first of them.
But first, before I reveal which Commander I'll be writing for you, a bit of background information Theros: Beyond Death, Magic: The Gathering's 83rd expansion set, is coming out in January[...]
One could say that the Merlin trope is quintessential to any good fantasy story, even those that are told through the medium of trading cards.
Today for my Magic: The Gathering Commander deck tech, I want to cover a commander who embodies the Merlin trope to a T: Gadwick, the Wizened.
Wizards, indeed Source: Wizards of the[...]
Today, we will be focusing on Gideon. Which Gideon? All of the Gideons.
This seems pretty amazing here.
Torbran, Thane of Red Fell – I wrote a Commander decklist featuring Torbran not long ago – he seems great when we want or need to sneak a little bit more damage into the game, be it by Kaboom! or by other means.

Rituals – Cards like Irencrag[...]
Today's Oathbreaker deck tech features a name-brand Planeswalker we have all come to know and either love or despise.
Happy Halloween everyone! It's October 31st, so hopefully, you know what's in store for you with regards to this particular Magic: The Gathering Commander deck tech.
So very spoopy Source: Wizards of the Coast
Over the past two months, we at Bleeding Cool have been going over a multitude of different legendary creatures from Throne of Eldraine,[...]
It's an announcement that could reshape the very fabric of the Magic: The Gathering Commander community, and it's one that people have been speculating on and awaiting for a long time.

It makes for a good storytelling outlet overall.
Do you know what makes for a great storytelling outlet, though? Games of Commander.
This brings me to today's Commander deck tech I've covered all but a few of the major leading options for the format within Throne of Eldraine already Linden, Emry, Ayara, Torbran, and Yorvo make a[...]
Or, "A Love Letter to Magic Esports".
Some of the sets are styled in themes similar to Ancient Greece or Egypt, one takes place in an Arthurian-inspired setting, and some are even as close to science fiction as fantasy can get.
We have been going over a lot of Commanders from Throne of Eldraine, the aforementioned Arthurian-themed set From Linden, Steadfast Queen, all[...]
Oathbreaker, for those who have not been caught up on the subject, is a 60-card singleton format made by the WeirdCards Charitable Club, and inspired by Commander and similar formats.
Source: Wizards of the Coast
Oathbreaker games represent a conflict between Planeswalkers and as such, Planeswalkers are the "commander" cards in this game (they're called Oathbreakers, however,[...]
In fact, this is another Commander deck tech, and it features – you guessed it – a green Giant Today, we are talking about Yorvo, Lord of Garenbrig, a Legendary Creature from Throne of Eldraine.
Previously, we discussed quite a few commanders from Throne of Eldraine, including Linden, Ayara, Torbran, and the Questing Beast Like Linden,[...]
Despite its reputation as a "lesser" form of Commander, Brawl has been a highly-anticipated feature in Magic: The Gathering: Arena due to its status as a fresh format (especially compared to Standard, which is still being plagued by Golos and Field of the Dead for however long – though those cards are being eyed for an[...]
I also really like red magic as well (so hence why I was so enthused with the new iteration of Chainer that was printed in the Commander 2019 set (and that I did a deck tech on not too long ago).
Today, hot on the heels of Linden, Questing Beast, and Ayara, my deck tech will[...]
This article, we will be discussing Arlinn Kord, the Innistradi Werewolf Planeswalker.
It's wonderful, especially if you can mitigate the costs.

This is why today for my Commander deck tech, I'll be going over Ayara, First of Locthwain, a new legendary creature in Throne of Eldraine, Magic's 82nd expansion set Previously I went over othe monocolored commanders such as Linden, the Steadfast Queen and Questing Beast[...]
This past Friday (October 11th), the WeirdCards Charitable Club members responsible for the Oathbreaker ban list decided to do something amazing for the format: they unbanned Recurring Nightmare, one of the most controversially-powerful cards still on the Commander ban list.

Recurring Nightmare is a three-mana enchantment that, if not countered, can potentially evade[...]
Today, we will be going over a Commander deck tech for Questing Beast, a creature that for many should need no introduction, considering how well it slew the competition in the Magic: The Gathering: Arena scene last weekend (my example wasn't as prolific, but it's here for anyone who wants to see it) Historically, the[...]
Today, we will be discussing my personal favorite Oathbreaker combination, Davriel, Rogue Shadowmage, plus Word of Command.
The biggest issue I had with picking this deck up was that my local gaming store was selling these decks for $40 USD apiece.
Surprisingly, Tibalt is remarkably powerful in this one, and that makes worlds of difference when you think about Oathbreaker (even considering Wrenn and Six).

Today, I am writing up an Oathbreaker deck tech revolving around a card that is significantly better, as evidenced by its use in the Standard and Commander formats The Oathbreaker? Sorin,[...]
Between Kenrith, the Returned King, the Throne of Eldraine prerelease, the Brawl decks being converted to Commander decks, My Little Pony's crossover with Magic, and so much of my procrastination getting to finally provide you with a deck tech for Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale, I've been remarkably hard at work for you, dear readers[...]
Hello there, dear readers! It's been a hot minute since I wrote a Commander deck tech, what with all manner of news coming up for me to write this month, all rather coinciding with the times I've been planning to write this particular article Surprisingly, a lot of you seem to have enjoyed the My[...]
Tibalt became something of a meme among players – some among them who practically prayed (and sometimes still pray) that the Planeswalkers in future sets never be as bad as he is.
Source: Weirdcards
Enter Oathbreaker, a format that revolves not just around Planeswalkers playable as pseudo-Commanders, but also the Signature Spell which the Planeswalker will bring[...]
Most people will make mention of WeirdCards when they mention Oathbreaker, and all that publicity is probably good for the charitable parts of their organization, for what it's worth.
Anyway, rules and such.
Oathbreaker, like Commander, is a singleton format, meaning only one of any given card besides basic lands (and a couple of other exceptions, like[...]
It was topical and fun and raised important points, but I do know my readers are expecting me to write my deck techs on black-bordered commanders This is all well and good, and I'll get to Alela in a moment because that's who we're covering today, but before I do that, I want to mention[...]
