I was taken aside at New York Comic Con by someone keen to tell me that the rumour Bleeding Cool had run a while ago, that Jeff Lemire was to launch a new New 52 comic called The Robins was, at least at some point in recent history true. It may have been turned down, or replaced with another project, but at one point it was seriously being considered by the company.
Another pending deal has become set, with Bryan Singer signing on to direct the upcoming adaptation of Days of Future Past. Original directorMatthew Vaughn is now set to take a producer’s role on the film, though it’s not clear how active he’ll be from here on out. Deadline say that Singer’s contract is very freshly inked, but it has been in the works for a few days now.
