My referrer stats tell me everyone in the world is googling for this information right now, so let's just get it out there.  The character Michonne has been in the news the past few days, and now we see it's for good reason… AMC has just announced that actress Danai Gurira has been cast in the role for The Walking Dead Season 3.  Gurira has had a role in Treme and has numerous other credits to her name from Law & Order to Life On Mars. Danai Gurira Is Michonne In The Walking Dead Season 3

 

AMC announced during Talking Dead tonight that actress Danai Gurira (The Visitor, Ghost Town) will play the role of Michonne in The Walking Dead Season 3. Michonne makes a brief appearance in the Season 2 Finale as the hooded stranger who wields a Katana sword and rescues Andrea from an attacking walker.
