Default DC Comics April Surprise - Friday Trending Topics

When Rich mentioned this the other day, about the DC Comics April cover surprise, I had a hunch it might be Superman-related, because April is the 75th anniversary of the actual release date (not the cover date) of Action Comics #1. But if that's so, it's certainly not yet clear from these cover images for DC Comics April releases (partial, mind you) cover images. So... hmm.

The rumor I hear is that April is a special event where the DC editors get some talented writers and artists, including a ton of new talent, in and they're putting out creator-owned books in all genres, and the editors will let the creators do their thing, while management concentrates on marketing the books and reaching out to new audiences.

'We haven't tried anything like this in all the time I've been here', says DC chief Dan Didio, 'then someone - I think it was Geoff Johns - realized it was something Alan Moore did twenty five years ago, so it was absolutely fair game for us to copy it'.

I'm assuming that's an attempt at a joke. It would probably help if it made sense. You're saying I'm ... symbolically representing a set? Ho ho ho. My sides.

No, we have a poster named Betty Boolean whose opinions on Alan Moore and writers who aren't Alan Moore seem to fit pretty well with yours.

    Why so defensive?

It's literally the only thing he can talk about, even if it doesn't make sense with the topic.

Thanks for the explanation. No, my middle name is not the same as the surname as another poster on here, even though she and I share the right views on Alan Moore. I hope that clarification helps.

Weren't you banned from this site for saying something racist? We could talk about that, if you like.
