Default Trailer: Ryan Gosling Is A Bank Robbing Motorbike Stunt Artist In The Place Beyond The Pines

The Place Beyond the Pines reunites Ryan Gosling with his Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance. This trailer does evoke some of the same sadness and loneliness as some of that earlier film. but there's a gravelly crime element in the mix too. It's all incredibly noirish.

It's not a surprise to see Eva Mendes or Ray Liotta in this world but Bradley Cooper might have seemed a touch too shiny. He doesn't. He's the odd one out, sure, but that's what he's playing.

The rotated shot with the two cops running up with guns is horrendous. Shame about that.

Now, that's two vehicle stunt-ing crime movies for Gosling now. What an odd coincidence.

What's hard to tell from this clip is how much of the story deals with the grown up sons, as played by Dane DeHaan and Emory Cohen.

I also don't know why the video autoplays. Bad Yahoo.

When I saw "Director of Blue Valentine" I knew I was in. I like how the trailer shows all the different dirty sides of the law we'll see.

And how many movies does Ryan Gosling need to make to show that he's the perfect guy to play Batman and Bruce Wayne?

To convince me? About a million more

But I remember when Hollywood had real ass-kickers, like Chuck Bronson and Clint Eastwood - so it's hard for these pussy, my-personal-trainer-got-me-some-abs-before-the-movie 'action heroes' of today to impress

I really liked the rotated shot of the cops with their guns drawn. Cool use of the full wide screen image area. To each their own I suppose.

Also petty sure the porno parody of this will be called The Place Beyond the Penis. Or do they not do those kind of tiles anymore?
