Marvel Are Working On 'Something' Blade Related Says Kate Beckinsale
There is probably an argument to be had that the Blade movies were really the start of the superhero influx at our cinemas, with the 1998 film having come just before Spiderman and Xmen.
Since Marvel's Cinematic Universe exploded though, the character has been quiet. That might not be the case for much longer. Speaking at the Underworld: Blood Wars panel at NYCC (via ComicBook), Kate Beckinsale of all people spilled some beans. When asked by a fan if Blade and Underworld would ever crossover, she said:
No. We had that idea. No, they're busy. They're doing something with Blade
It isn't a lot to go on, and I think down the line, Marvel is doing 'something' with a lot of their characters. It materialising into a finished product is another story, but Blade really would bring something unique to the universe. Bring it on I say.
