Tom Cavanagh To Play A Fourth Version Of Harrison Wells

fla108a-0132b-113187Each season seems to end with Tom Cavanagh's character being written out of the show. But then the new season starts and he's back again. At this point, the former Ed actor has played three different versions of Harrison Wells. The first one we met is really Eobard Thawne pretending to be Wells. We also get a few scenes with him playing the actually Wells… once with Tess Morgan on a beach and once when killed by Thawne. In season 2 we got to see a very different Wells, one that came from Earth 2 and headed back there in the finale.

Now season 3 is coming and Barry Allen has screwed with the timeline. Reverse-Flash doesn't kill Nora Allen, which means he likely didn't kill Wells and Morgan either.

Cavanagh told EW.com about his role at the start of the new season:

I played the original Wells on the beach with Tess. This guy won't be that guy. If the show has strengths, I would argue that we're not repeating ourselves generally, and specifically I'm trying not to repeat myself.
