James Gunn Doesn't Think Of 'Marvel Vs. DC' As He Wants All Superhero Movies To Be Good

The Marvel v DC fued will rage on until the end of time. It is an absolute staple of the internet pop culutre scene, and has certainly only intesified as the as superhero movies have come to run the cinemas.

Gaurdians of the Galaxy director James Gunn doesn't want any part of it it seems though. Speaking to Variety, Gunn said that he takes no pleasure in the competition failing or putting out bad movies. Instead, he just wants to see good things about characters he likes.

He said:

I don't really think about Marvel versus DC. And also any time a Marvel movie comes out that isn't as good as I wished it was or anytime a DC movie comes out that isn't as I wished it was, I'm disappointed because I love these characters. I grew up reading Marvel and DC comics. I want them all to be good.

As someone who has been in the room in so many Marvel Studios interviews, the fued is something that always seems to get pushed. It is rarely talked about seriously, and frankly, I think that is great. To see Gunn come out and say he just wants good movies, well, I think that will speak to a lot of people.
