How Civil Warry Are Your Civil War II Crossovers Today? We Do A Head Count.

There may be no actual Civil War II comic out today (and not for a little while, actually) but there are more Civil War II crossovers than ever before this week. So which actually crossover and which pay lip service? We'll mark them out of ten shots to the head…. the more headshots, the more it has to do with the actual Civil War II story. And you can make your purchase on an informed basis.

Ultimates, well, yes that's very Civil Warry. Focusing on a Ulysses prediction that might not have worked out as he foresaw it?

And looking at how Ulysses has been training with Karnak? Very Civil Warry indeed. Eight heads.

Talking of which, Ulysses #4 has him undergoing that training and has Karnak testing out his observations. In a rather cruel way….

While Spider-Woman is going around trying to confirm his other predictions, and even prevent one without, you know, actually causing any of them, which is how it is meant to work. And a death of Banner scene as well. And at the back the revealed cover to next month's issue! Maximum heads! it might as well be an issue of Civil War II.

Mockingbird concerns itself with her relationship with Clint Barton as he is on trial for the murder of Bruce Banner, but also on a cruise ship, well away from the action. Still…

The Fallen tells the aftermath of the death of the Hulk, his funeral and the legacy of the character. With one or two revelations along the way…

Civil War II: Fall Of The Gods #3 has, well, very little to do with Civil War II at all, just that a) the heroes aren't around and b) he might be needed. Still some damn fine lines like the one above, but…

All-New Wolverine is all about following a prediction from Ulysses to its bitter end, but it also appears to be one of those self-fulfilling prophesises, again, the ones that aren't actually supposed to work with Ulysses. So, fairly Civil Warry but it loses a couple of heads for not following the rules.

While in Civil War II: X-Men #3, Magneto manages to use Ulysses conspiracy in his recruitment drive, picking up ultra-powerful telepath and telekinetic, Rachel, from London. In this issue everyone is all about Ulysses!

In Civil War II: Spider-Man, I think they're still following a Ulysses prediction but aren't actually referring to it, and it's a self fulling one at that. So..

Civil War II: Choosing Sides has a Nick Fury story that seems very removed, a Power Pack story where Civil War II is happening online somewhere but is also removed, but then….…we get this Punisher story. Remember when Bendis said that Civil War II was nothing like Minority Report? Well this moment really, really is, taken right from the movie… and ups the Civil Warriness by a large amount.

And Captain America: Steve Rogers #12 has very little to so with the Civil War II storyline…

…but instead channels all of the themes behind that comic regarding profiling in different and new directions.

So it gets bonus heads for that.

While Power Man And Luke Cage has nothing whatsoever to do with Civil War II… until the final page. When it becomes everything to do with it.
