A New Metal Gear Co-Op Game Has Been Announced And It's Bananas In The Weirdest Way

For the past year or so, everyone has assumed that Konami have been out of the AAA game development scene.

Well, it seems they are back in the game, in the most truly bizarre way possible. The publisher has just announced Metal Gear Survive, a co-op game set in an alternate version of the universe for four players. The concept is really…out there though. In this timeline, right after Snake left motherbase in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros, a portal opened up and sucked some people into a place where zombie like dudes are tearing people apart. It also looks like there is a metal gear there too.

Take a look at the trailer:

This game is going to be torn apart by the internet, but you know? I want to give this a really fair chance. While Konami's online practices in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain doesn't give me a lot of confidence in a multipler focused game, this concept is such a bizarre left turn I'll walk with with the development team to see where this goes.
