Champions #1 To Get A 1:1000 Cover – And This Window Cling

It's one way to up orders. For the launch of Champions #1 from Mark Waid and Humberto Ramos, Marvel Comics is going all in for a big launch. Well, getting the rights to the title back will have cost them a pretty penny in legal fees. Here's where they make it all back.

And now Marvel is to make a 1:1000 cover available. Retailers can order one copy for every 1000 of the regular covers they order.

They already have this as a 1:100 cover.

This for those who match 200% of All New All Different Avengers #9, as well as both John Tyler Christopher action figure variants, one with Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze, the other with Miles Morales and the Hulk, another Skottie Young variant, a Hip-Hop variant and a blank variant.

A Captain America 75th Anniversary cover at 1:50,  and the Party Launch variant for those stores who want to participate in that. As well as lithographs, pins, standees, postcards, posters and this window cling…

On top of this they are also doing retailer exclusive variant covers, usually requiring 3000-5000 orders.

They really want to sell 300,000 on launch, don't they?
