What Will Happen To Those Hastings Batman And Han Solo #1 Variants?

Last week, the large entertainment chain Hastings didn't get their weekly comics. Entering Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and owing the comic book distribution company Diamond over $1.6 million is likely to be the reason for this. And Diamond is unlikely to want to throw good money after bad.

But what Hastings also didn't get last week was their exclusive retailer variant covers to Batman #1 from DC Comics and Han Solo #1 from Marvel Comics.

Labelled with the Hastings logo, will anyone take them on? Copies have been pre-sold on eBay from $15 to $45 after all.

No one else can sell them.

Diamond Comic Distributors representatives have declined to comment to Bleeding Cool as the situation between Hastings and Diamond is "in flux".

We look forward to seeing what the situation is this Wednesday.
