A Comic Show – Wacky Rebirth Land!

 Aaron Haaland writes,

Hey Fandom! Don't mind me, I'm just over here loving DC's Rebirth. Flash was the best of the week and had all the direct fallout of the Rebirth Special (Wally, that note, the button). Aquaman was a close second…it felt like a Geoff Johns issue! Wonder Woman was a little weird, but Rucka has my faith. Detective Comics is the team Batbook I've always wanted (Red Robin & Spoiler forever). And Action Comics by Dan Jurgans was truly exciting. I've never been Jurgan's biggest fan by any stretch, but this issue had everything I want in a Superman book. If you ever liked Superman, give it a shot! Also by DC this week, Wacky Raceland #1 is the Hanna-Barbara/Mad Max mash-up you didn't ask for but should have. The concept was designed by an actual art designer for the Mad Max movie! Yay corporate synergy!
Marvel had a couple Civil War II minis, and the Skottie Young Marvel Coloring book. Varder and Poe Dameron gave me my Star Wars fix. I'm loving the weekly TMNT book Bebop & Rocksteady Destroy Everything. The One % is still killing the super rich. But my indy pick of the week is Oni's Merry Men #1! It's essentially Robin Hood, except the merry are being persecuted for being homosexuals. It's a clever gimmick and analogy, and it's executed well.
