Going into this episode, it seemed like it was going to be a lighthearted moment after the big Earth-2 episodes. The whole Jaws theme, John Diggle and Lyla Michaels coming to town… a bit of fun after some seriousness. Nope. Not at all. There may have been some light moments but overall it was a pretty heavy on both emotion and plot. This episode is all about consequences and they shows up in most of the important moments of the episode.

1 – With Jay Garrick's sudden death at the end of last episode, a joyous moment was blown apart. Barry Allen feels guilty for not only his failures as The Flash but also for his role in get Earth-2 Joe West killed. The writers could easily have pushed past this into action, but they brought the fallout from their trip to the other world into full play. When he realizes he can't go back and fix this, he is devastated. They've closed all the portals for the right reasons but can Barry live with leaving Earth-2 to deal with Zoom?

2 – The episode is filled with tense little moments between Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow. She's dealing with another death of a man she loved. While Cisco is still reeling from meeting Killer Frost and sees Caitlin's detached attitude as becoming cold. But the important moment here wasn't any of that, but when the two talked with Dr. Tanya Lamden. It was a reminder that the particle accelerator blowing up damaged a lot of lives and that S.T.A.R. Labs is still responsible for it. They know the blame is squarely on Harrison Wells / Eobard Thawne, but the rest of the world doesn't see the distinction.

3 – Diggle's appearance is a three-fold thing. First, he and Lyla are dealing with the consequences of Amanda Waller's actions. Second, Diggle is a great reminder of how incredible metahumans are… here he runs around with a group of vigilante's but is still blown away by the Flash's speed and the existence of King Shark. But the most important reason he is here is the moment when he does for Barry what he always does for Oliver Queen… he puts things in perspective. He talks to Barry about the guilt of surviving when you lose someone in a battle. He reminds him he can't carry the world on his shoulders… something Barry really needed to hear.

4 – Another set of consequences having to be dealt with… Barry and Wally West. Barry is the favorite son while Wally is the one that was kept away. Now trying to bring them together, Wally is having a tough time with accepting Barry. And Barry isn't in a good place so things don't go well. But Joe has a sit down with Wally and explains how he and Iris feel about Barry. How his life was torn apart and the fact that he's a good person is amazing. I think this will help, but I get the feeling that he'll find out about The Flash and that will either solidify their relationship or tear it further apart from jealousy.

5 – Near the end of the episode, Barry unveils a memorial to Jay. A glass case for his helmet… right in the middle of the room. Barry tells everyone that he must apologizes. That it was his desire to save his mom that opened the rifts and is the cause of Jay's death, Ronnie Raymond's death and much more. He vows to find a way back to Earth-2 and to stop Zoom. This is him stepping up to deal with the consequences of his actions.

6 – The most talked about moment has to be at the very end when Zoom walks in the room carrying Jay Garrick's body, dumps it on the ground then removes his mask to reveal that he is…. Jay Garrick. This didn't surprise me as much as it did everyone who was certain that it was Henry Allen. I had a theory that Jay was Zoom that also includes the man in the iron mask being…. Jay Garrick. Here is my thinking… What if Zoom is Hunter Zolomon (Jay Garrick) from Earth-1 and the man in the iron mask is Jay Garrick from Earth-2? Then who is the dead body on the floor? How about Hannibal Bates / Everyman from Earth-2? The Garrick we meet in the beginning doesn't have speed, just talks like he does. He doesn't get it until he uses the Velocity serum. So maybe he was Bates all along or maybe he was Garrick at first but then Zoom captured Garrick and replaced him with Bates. Just a theory.

Well, the Zoom / Iron Mask question will probably continue to be a mystery for a while but next week we get to see our first female speedster, Trajectory.
