Destiny 2 Confirmed For 2017 And A Big Release Coming This Year

Well, finally. Destiny has been floundering a little since The Taken King came out, with only minor live events happening around holidays. It made us wonder what the actual plan was at Bungie, but now, it seems we know.

Thanks to a fourth quarter results break down released by Activision, it was revealed that the future seems bright. It says:

Large new expansion in 2016 with full game sequel expected to launch in 2017

You have to assume that large new expansion coming this year must be the size of The Taken King, especially if we have no new content coming before then. I guess that is coming in September. As for Destiny 2? Well, thats where things are going to get real exciting.

I'm ready to have reasons to play Destiny again. I want the content to engage me. I just hope there is something before September to drag me in…
