The Cyclops Teaser That No One Believed For A Picosecond

The last page of Extraordinary X-Men #4 shocked its audience.

Or at least the media audience. Newsarama reported

But not just Cyclops. The reanimated (if he was ever actually dead) Cyclops, twisted by the Terrigen Mists and under Sinister's control, ready to take on his old teammates. Sinister has always had a fascination with the Summers bloodline going back decades, with this playing into that well with current events.

CBR reported

As it's a last page reveal, we don't yet know how Sinister came to possess Cyclops' body and if this is resurrected Cyclops or if the reports of his death were greatly exaggerated. It is clear from the image, though, that Cyclops has a different, presumably Inhuman, look.

But the readers weren't buying it.

Since CBR apparently doesn't get that Sinister creates clones and since this reveal was spoiled in yesterday's X-Position's preview art, I decided I would start the actual discussion thread about the issue before the other stuff of the issue gets lost in the Cyclops discussion

And in tomorrow's Extraordinary X-Men #5, that art gets lettering.
