The Winter Soldier Gets The Marvel 101 Treatement

There once were a few sacred cows in the comic book industry. Characters whose deaths were so important to another character that you could not bring them back. It just wasn't going to happen. The four pillars that most comic fans would think of would've been Ben Parker, Bucky Barnes, Captain Marvel and Jason Todd / the second Robin.

Turns out sacred cows make good burgers too… Jason Todd was teased to return in the Hush storyline and then really came back Under the Red Hood. Captain Marvel became an out-of-time jailer at one point for Marvel and of course Bucky returned as the Winter Soldier. Hell, Ben may have come back and I missed it… who knows.

Bucky's return may arguably have been the most successful. The character has take on the role of Captain America for a while, lead his own comic and was a major part of the cinematic universe in both Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War.

If you are only familiar with the private turned programmed assassin through the films, Marvel has released a new 101 feature focused on the man with the metal arm.
