Hateful Eight Was Meant To Be A Django Novel

In a video interview with DP/30, filmmaker Quentin Tarantino revealed that his original concept for the Hateful Eight was actually a novel idea for his other character Django. As he began working on the story he found that as it progressed something was wrong… and it was because we already knew Django and his moral compass. Once he swapped out the character with someone new and more morally ambiguous… and thus the Hateful Eight were born.

Hateful Eight opens in select theaters on 70 mm on December 25th and widely on January 1st.
