The King And Me by Ger Apeldoorn is, as he says, "a play about the life and career of Jack Kirby as seen through the eyes of his collaborators Joe Simon and Stan Lee. It's a celebration of his talent as well as an exploration of the relationships he made in his work."

And it is to have its North American premiere this Sunday at the pop-up Kirby Museum in Manhattan on the corner of Allen and Delancey Street – which inspired "Yancy Street" from the Fantastic Four and where Jack Kirby was born and raised.
