I'm Patrick Dane – The New Managing Editor Of Bleeding Cool

How did we get here? The first time I ever got in contact with Bleeding Cool, it was regarding advanced tickets for a Green Lantern screening. Somehow, and it's a long, confusing and unlikely story (I'll tell it one day), it has lead me to now taking on the new Managing Editor position at the site in the wake of Hannah leaving us. That is madness. But also, hey!

Yes, the 'games guy' has been given partial control of Bleeding Cool's editorial content. I know some of you comics purists might find that a little troubling, but worry not. For you guys, my position shouldn't change much about your day to day reading. Indeed, Rich has taken up the Editor-in-Chief position and our comics team is still in place over on the left column. Hopefully, that calms your fears there. All it should really mean for you dear reader, is that there will be more and better content on the film and games sections of the site. Those are the worlds I've become intimate with in my time writing online, so I'm hoping to bring that knowledge into play here.

While I won't say too much about what the future could hold, know that we are looking at new ways to create even better content and make your stay with us worthwhile. I really do want to interact with you all when possible, so when I get time, I'm going to try my best to talk to you in the comments to discuss the latest pop culture happenings.
