The Bleed is a weekly podcast by Bleeding Cool contributor Joe Schmidt. The podcast consists of the latest news in comics, creator interviews, and a weekly book club discussion.

It's another Hang Dai edition of the Bleed!

Prolific cartoonist Dean Haspiel joins the podcast and we discuss his upcoming release, Beef with Tomato! The collection of loosely autobiographical short stories will make it's print debut Sept. 19-20 at SPX in Bethesda, MD, and is available in stores shortly after.

We also discuss his work on The Fox, collaborations with Jonathan Ames, remembering Seth Kushner, and more INCLUDING the Pick of the Week!

And what a pick it is, as this week Dean discusses his idol Jack Kirby! We read one of Kirby's later DC projects, the high-concept action thriller One Man Army Corps aka OMAC!
