Aw Yeah Comics Opens A New Store In New York

aw_yeah_2We ran the good news about an opening comic book store in Oxford, England, earlier today.

Well here's another, several thousand miles away.

Aw Yeah! Comics, already with three stores in the MidWest has gone East to Harrison, New York, to open a fourth. It had a soft opening a couple of weeks ago, with a harder opening to come on October 3rd.

Local paper The Daily Voice reports that co-owner Marc Hammond said "he and his partners were looking for a small town, not far from a major metropolitan area, that "needed" a comic store and found it in Harrison."

Owned with comic book creators Art & Franco, Mark Waid and the organiser of NYCC's Artists Aley, Mike Negin, the grand opening will occur right before the next New York Comic Con.

So expect even more creator signings than usual. Might even be a mini-Artists Alley in its own right?
