Warren Ellis And Tula Lotay's Heartless At #ImageExpo

heartlessPeter S Svensson gives us the notes from Image Expo…

Warren Ellis is working with Tula Lotay on the next project. Heartless. And Tula is talking about it. Peter S Svensson sends his his notes.

A horror comic, but not really, it's a bit genre defying. They have similar tastes in cinema, a female musician in Northern England, goes home to a small town and that dark forest where something happened to her in her past. It's very spooky, about the dark side of human nature, and the battles within ourselves.

A young girl who looks like she has a skull face will be appearing throughout the story in a mysterious fashion. Like Supreme Blue Rose, people can look far into it beyond just the surface narrative. Inspired by Dave Lynch, many aspects of this comic are influenced by his approach.

This is a weird Northern English folk tale.
