Some Mindless Mutant Speculation

uncanny.inhumansSome evening mutant mindless speculation…

We have previously talked about a planned plot at Marvel that would see terrigen mists flood the earth again, but this time have a seriously negative effect on mutant genes, forcing the mutant population to decamp from Earth and ship out to the Jupiter moon of Europa.

Then editor Mike Marts left to become EIC at Aftershock Comics, writers involved with the project changed focus and it's quite possible the whole plot has changed.

But do remnants remain? Looking at the news that Old Man Logan, X-23 and the Beast may be sticking around – is there a specific reason for that? Both Logan and X-23 have healing factors which could have fought the harm caused to mutants by the mists. As does the Beast, now joining the Uncanny Inhumans alongside the Human Torch.

Is it possible that the experiment that turned The Beast into his blue furry for, actually triggered his own terrigenesis and that he is actually a mutant Inhuman? Will he join Skye and Toro being retconned into being Inhuman?

Could even the very idea of secondary mutations actually be Inhuman triggering in mutants?

Or is this all as much of a reach as Daisy Johnson being nicknamed Skye in the SHIELD comic because she goes into space a lot?

Just some mindless unsourced speculation, that's all.
