Spider-Dad, Spider-Dad, Has Whatever A Spider-Dad Had….
We mentioned yesterday that the father of Tom Holland, the new Spider-Man, was a well-ish known British comedian and writer, Dominic Holland. In my past life as an advertising copywriter, I'd made a few ads with him. And despite not exactly being a sporty person, I'd read a number of his sports-based works. The Ripple Effect was a particular favourite and I got partially involved in spreading the word, ripple-style. So I wanted to check in and see how he was coping…
He'd written a book about being eclipsed in his career by his teenage son, which he'd published as an eBook on Kindle. Called Eclipsed – or how tom holland ECLIPSED his dad, it's here in the UK and here in the US. I read it a couple of years back, it's really funny.
Of course he couldn't get it published in print… not back then anyway.
Of course he is still rather busy…
Well, lots of friends and fellow comedians were checking in with the congrats.
Tell me about it Dom, I got bumped of 5Live last week!
And even a little for a deserving charity
