There Won't Be Space Battles In Star Wars: Battlefront

I thought the artwork for the new Star Wars: Battlefront was revealing the game would have surface to space battles. It appears I was wrong.

EA have now confirmed that there will be no space battle in Star Wars: Battlefront at all. Speaking to Game Informer, DICE's Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir said:

In our game, we want to bring the fantasy of dogfighting to players. We bring you the X-Wing, and we bring you the TIE Fighter, and other air vehicles that you want to fly in and experience, but we keep them on the planet's surface.

I'm not actually opposed to this idea. I'd rather be dog fighting in beautiful terrain rather than the darkness of space. Sure, it takes a little star out of these wars, but I understand where DICE are coming from.

Having said that, I also understand how some will be disappointed with the news. It would have been a cool feature no doubt.
