Watch Double Fine See Psychonauts Torn About By A Speed Runner

Speed running, in most cases, is about tearing a game apart to exploit its glitches. Players try and find new exploits that will vastly improve their time, sometimes turning ten hour games into less than one hour experiences

While most speed runners come from a place of love for a game, it must be tough for creators to watch their game exploited by glitches that shouldn't exist.

We can now see that process first hand here via Double Fine's 'Devs Play'. Speed runner Stephen "SMK" Kiazyk sat down the Psychonauts development team to play the game, showing them all the exploits and glitches there are in the game.

There is a fair amount of back and forth between player and developer about the state of the game's glitches. It's a pretty amusing experience and oddly compelling. I only meant to watch a part of it, but ended up getting sucked into nearly all of it.

There is even some talk of Psychonauts 2. Nothing concrete. Just hypotheticals, but look out for that.
