As Naruto Does A Harry Potter, One Piece Celebrates
The final chapter of long running manga Naruto came to an end this week in Japan, with its 700th episode. Even One Piece made homage,
The visible tops of the menus spell out a message "Thank you for your hard work, Naruto!" Also note the "O" and "I" in the title, Nami's dress and the figure behind her, Luffy's ramen bowl, the fox and what it's wearing.
Naruto #700 sees its US publication in Shonen Jump Weekly next week.However you can't move on Twitter for scanlated versions of Naruto's final scenes being posted everywhere.
And one of the strongest comparisons with this ending is with that of Harry Potter, itself controversial. The two have often been compared, but the ending is so similar in structure it may be a deliberate reference to the final novel.
A skip decades into the future.
Marriages you might not expect.
And a child fulfilling his destiny, and other children full of promise for the future…
But for those in mourning, there will be more Naruto mini-series to come…
