Jeremy Renner Isn't Pushing For A Hawkeye Solo Film

Jeremy Renner Hawkeye newpic1In an interview with MTV, Jeremy Renner spent some time talking about Marvel's bow-man, Hawkeye. In the piece he talks about how he and Joss Whedon had originally planned out to do something different with the character, but it was changed to him being the pseudo-villain in an effort to keep the part from being tiny. But now with Avengers: Age of Ultron they are able to do the things they wanted with Hawkeye.

Renner was also asked if he wanted Hawkeye to get a solo movie… which the actor isn't pushing for. He sees the character as a utility guy and good in an ensemble like in the Avengers and Captain America 3… to which he winked at the camera. Whether he was confirming his role in the third Cap movie or just acknowledging the on-line rumors remains to be seen.
