Exclusive Extended Preview – Mercy Thompson #1

Mercy Thompson is a character and protagonist for a series of novels written by Patricia Briggs. In the books Thompson is the daughter of a Blackfeet Indian and has the ability to transform into a coyote, which they call being a Walker as her shape-shifting doesn't involve the phases of the moon. The books are written in a first-person narrative and tells of a world where the main character has a werewolf neighbor and a gremlin boss. So you can get an idea that this is something that could translate well into comics.

Dynamite did just that back in 2011 when the adapted the first novel of the series into comics with Mercy Thompson: Moon Called, which is available in trade. But now Briggs and writer Rik Hoskin are teaming to create an all new adventure that is considered canon to the book series. Artist Tom Garcia is drawing the book and we have an exclusive extended preview of the first issue. The new series debuts in October, so let your retailers know now if you want a copy.
