Fantastic Four #5 Adds To Its All Star Cast – Including A Cover By Jonathan Hickman

imageJonathan Hickman may have left the Fantastic Four…but he keeps coming back. Which is why he's doing the art for a variant cover for the new Fantastic Four #5.

And as well as the previously announced Chris Samnee, Dean Haspiel, Jerry Ordway and Leonard Kirk, Marvel are adding Paul Rivoche, James Starlin, June Brigman, Michael Allred, and Paul Smith to the artistic cast list as well.

We asked Dean Haspiel(The Fox, Cuba: My Revolution, The Quitter) about this very special issue. He told us:

It's a dream come true to draw a page for 'the world's greatest comics magazine, a comic book I've been buying and reading every month since I was 12-years old. I'll be 47 at the end of May (you do the math). I accessed Jack Kirby, my favorite superhero artist and co-creator of The Fantastic Four, to draw my page in Fantastic Four #5. It's a big bang of cosmic and gamma irradiated proportions and I can't wait to read what James Robinson and gang have cooked up!
