Things To Do On Free Comic Book Day Everywhere Else Around The World

Hannah Means-Shannon, Editor-in-Chief of Bleeding Cool, just ran a look at Free Comic Book Day events in New York, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and New Jersey.

But lots of places are doing events. Here's a look at a few more of them.

TFAW of Portland, Milwaukie and Beaverbrook has its plans all lined up, opening early, with Greg Rucka, Terry Dodson, Steve Lieber, Jim Valentino, Chris Roberson, David Marquez, Joshua Williamson, Michael Avon Oeming, Colleen Coover, Paul Tobin and more appearing through the day at different stores.

Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles is having a signing for Free Comic Book Day from noon. Marc Silvestri is debuting his Image comic Rise Of The Magi #0, as well as OSSM! comics folk Omar & Siike signing copies of the Bleeding Cool Free Comic Book Day 2014 magazine, with other giveaways and surprises…

Third Eye Comics of Annapolis has Paul Pope, Jason Aaron, Frank Barbiere, Joe Harris and more signing through the day.

New World Comics in Oklahoma City is running a 24 hour sale from 9AM Saturday to 9AM Sunday, with three local comic artists doing free sketches, a midnight drawing, a 3AM video game tournament, and a whole heap of cosplayers.

Collector's Paradise of California is using Free Comic Book Day, with appearances from Mike Kunkel, Sina Grace, Aaron Sown, Scott Konlish, Chris Moreno, Meg Hutchinson

Coliseum of Comics of Florida has a number of events for different stores. Millenia Orlando, gets cosplayers for Hero Alliance, Kissimmee gets Star Wars cosplayers, Fashion Square Orlando gets cosplayers and artists Travis Earls and Brian Wolffe, Lakeland gets a a Sabretooth swordsman display, New Tampa gets more cosplayers.

Orbital Comics in London will be running a Live Podcast event with lots of surprise comics book guests from 3pm to 7pm.

Limited Edition Comix in Stevenage, UK, is getting a booth at the local Cineworld cinema in Stevenage, giving away copies of Amazing Spider-Man #1 to anyone who buys a ticket as well as running a large sale, with £5 or under comics at 50p each, over £5 comics at £1 each and wall books all at half price.

We've got bags of comics to give away*, providing you with a perfect jumping-in point – and we've got loads of in-store signings as well!

Forbidden Planet in London has 2000AD's Henry Flint, Matt Smith and Tiernan Trevellian, the stars of 2000AD from 1–2pmand from 3–4pm, Martin Stiff will be signing The Absence.

Forbidden Planet in Liverpool, has Stuart Jennet signing Chronos Commandos from 1-2pm.

Forbidden Planet in Southampton has John Higgins signing Razorjack, from 12-1pm.

Gosh Comics of London will have kids events from noon, with cartoonists Steven Appleby, Marc Ellerby, Eleni Kalorkoti, Mike Medaglia, Emma Raby, John Riordan, Alison Ampson, Rachael Smith, Cluade TC and Emma Vieceli to teach them!

Jetpack Comics of New Hampshire will have the first public appearance together of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creators Peter Laird & Kevin Eastman for their Free Comic Book Day Festival, giving away a limited edition mini-print of the original convention poster where TMNT debuted 30 years ago, designed and executed by Eastman and Laird, as well as a print of the first rendition of the Turtles.

The Rochester, NH Free Comic Book Day Festival may well be the largest FCBD event in the country (perhaps the world) spreading out over nearly 2 square miles with thousands upon thousands of visitors for the event. Additional creators include Rebekah Isaacs, Christopher Golden, Tom Sniegoski, Jason Ciaramella, Rich Woodall, Matt Talbot, Brandon Barrows, Tyler James and more.

The Comic Bug of Manhattan Beach, California (below) will be giving 20% of all sales to the Bill Mantlo Support Relief Fund

Wade's Comic Madness of Levittown, PA will be hosting  a fundraiser,
