Satellite Sam's Tijuana Bible Not For British Eyes

tijuana

British comic book retailers have been told by Diamond UK that the Satellite Sam Tijuana Bible incentive will not be available within these shores.

Image Comics had previously announced that a fictional "Tijuana bible", based on the small press pornographic publications that lampooned cartoon figures, sports stars and actors from the twenties to the sixties, would feature in Satellite Sam #8, by Matt Fraction and Howard Chaykin. And, as an incentive, facsimile copies of that Tijuana bible, featuring characters from the comic, would be sent to those who ordered sufficient quantities.

But not, it seems, in the UK.

There is no reason given, but Image Comics and Howard Chaykin have come unstuck in the past with UK Customs & Excise, with offending issues of Black Kiss 2 by Chaykin causing whole shipments of comics from the US to the UK to be held and delayed.

Whatever the reason, it is now likely to be an even greater collectible item than before.
