Marvel And DC Locked Out Of Top 20 Graphic Novel Bookstore Sales In February, Thanks To Walking Dead, Saga, Locke & Key, Adventure Time, Naruto, Attack On Titan, Bleach, Avatar The Last Airbender And Miss Pererine’s Home For Peculiar Children

9460487ICV2 reports that both Marvel and DC have been locked out of the top twenty graphic novels sold in bookstores for the month of February 2014, the first known time this has happened.

A combination of various favourite volumes of Walking Dead and Saga, Locke & Key and Adventure Time, Naruto and Attack On Titan, Bleach and Avatar The Last Airbender, and the less-expected Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children pushed every superhero book off the chart.

While a lack of Marvel has been expected of late, with welcome exceptions from the likes of Hawkeye, you can usually rely on DC Comics to place a Batman book.

Not in February it seems… and it’s evidence that neither DC or Marvel can capitalise on a successful TV show like the Walking Dead can.
