How MailOrderComics.Com Went Down

logoSo what happened with MailOrderComics.com that necessitated DCBS stepping in and taking on their unfulfilled orders. How would that be possible anyway?

Bleeding Cool investigations have unearthed that MailOrderComics.com over extended their credit with Diamond, in the region of a low six figure sum and basically last week, they didn't get the comics they'd ordered. Attempts to get further credit and investment didn't bear fruit and so they on Tuesday they decided to close up shop, selling off their stock at their bricks and mortar store, first everything at half price and by the weekend, all issues for a dollar.

I understand that once the news got out, that DCBS talked to Diamond and they negotiated to take MailOrderComics stock from Diamond, and to get the customer details, in a deal that made everything, well, as least as happy as they could be in the circumstances. Diamond isn't stuck with stock and DCBS have a new list of customers.

It all seems to have happened rather quickly…
