Frank Cho's Kickstarter Breaks $150,000 – "I Think This Is The Future For Me"

421c1e65ac7459c1da54429b89c5d83e_largeYesterday, Frank Cho's Kickstarter for  "Drawing Beautiful Women: The
Frank Cho Method" ended. It did rather well, pulling in over $150,000 against a target of $30,000. And it seems, for Frank Cho, this is the way he'll do things going on. He told Bleeding Cool,

I think this is the future for me.

Once I finish out my exclusive Marvel contract, I think most of my future creator-owned comic book/graphic novels will be launched as Kickstarter projects. (Except for couple of  projects already promised to other publishers of course.)

I have three creator-owned stories in works right now. 2014 will be a huge year for me.

He may not be alone in that. Watch Image Expo next week for more…
