Asylum Press announced today that Lori Lovcraft, the creator-owned property of Mike Vosburg, has returned in a new digital mini-series Lori Lovecraft: Into the Past. Vosburg, whose comic career is in it’s fifth decade, has worked for Marvel Comics, DC Comics and Valiant among others over the years but is best know for his seven year run doing 1950s style covers on Tales from the Crypt comics.
Vosburg talked about the origin of the series,
Lori was actually inspired by my experiences working on HBO’s Tales From the Crypt. It’s a combination of two things I dearly love: drawing beautiful women and old movies. And Pete Ventrella’s scripts were magic to work on.
Frank Forte, Publisher of Asylum Press spoke on bringing the series under their logo,
We’re excited to have Mike on board at Asylum. Retrowood fits in with our growing list of titles. After Lori Lovecraft: Into the Past #1 we have a number of one shots coming out as well as a Linda Lovecraft (Lori’s aunt) series that Mike had hidden in his coffers for years.
